ElevAAte is looking for a Deputy Director who believes East Asian American leaders belong at every level of biopharma — and wants to help them go further.
What Success in This Role Looks Like
A year from now, someone succeeding in this role is the person the ED relies on to keep the organization moving — and growing. They carry significant ownership across programs and operations. When the ED is focused externally, this person holds the internal.
They think strategically but aren't afraid to execute. They bring structure to ambiguity and help translate ElevAAte's vision into operational reality. They are a trusted thought partner to the ED.
This is the right role for someone who has led programs or teams before and is ready to help scale a high-potential organization from the inside
How They Contribute
Organizational Strategy & ED Support
- Serve as a thought partner to the ED on organizational priorities, programming, and growth
- Develop frameworks to evaluate program impact and community growth
Programs & Events
- Own the end-to-end design and quality of ElevAAte's programming — multi-day leadership retreats, regional gatherings, research reports
- Ensure events reflect ElevAAte's values and serve the needs of a senior biotech audience
- Manage volunteers and any contractors supporting program delivery
Fundraising Support
- Help develop sponsorship proposals and materials
- Maintain donor and sponsor tracking in Salesforce and support follow-through on the ED's development pipeline
Operations
- Oversee day-to-day organizational operations and internal systems, including Salesforce
- Ensure the organization has the structure, tools, and clarity to execute effectively
- Help build ElevAAte's capacity as it scales — people, processes, and infrastructure
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, program management, operations, or a related field
- Track record of managing complex projects and senior relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable with executive-level audiences
- Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development a strong plus. Salesforce or similar CRM experience helpful
- Background in biopharma, life sciences, or Asian American communities preferred
